Add-On Services

Bookkeeping, Payroll, and AP/AR Add-On Services for Trades and Service Businesses

Add-on services are the day-to-day accounting work that keeps your numbers accurate: bookkeeping and data entry, payroll, 1099 and sales tax support, and accounts payable and receivable. Corvus Accounting offers them alongside our core strategy services, so the books that feed your cash flow forecast, tax estimate, and job costing reports are always current.

Strategy is only as good as the data behind it. These services are add-ons to a core engagement, not standalone bookkeeping packages.

Common mistakes we fix

  • Books reconciled only at tax time, so monthly reports can’t be trusted
  • Owner draws and personal expenses mixed into business expenses
  • Paying workers as contractors who should be employees
  • No follow-up system for overdue invoices
  • Paying bills as they arrive instead of on a schedule that protects cash

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer bookkeeping on its own?

Our bookkeeping, payroll, and AP/AR services are add-ons to a core engagement such as Fractional CFO, Cash Flow Forecasting, or Tax Liability Advisory. We pair them so the books behind your strategy are accurate and current. If you only need books cleaned up before starting strategy work, we can scope that during your free consultation.

Can you catch up books that are months behind?

Yes. We reconcile past bank and credit card activity, correct categorization, and bring your books current before monthly bookkeeping begins. Cleanup is scoped based on how many months are behind and the number of accounts involved.

Do you file 1099s for my contractors?

We prepare year-end 1099s from your books and help you collect the W-9 information you need from each contractor during the year. Starting W-9 collection early avoids a January scramble. We also review whether each worker is properly classified as a contractor.

How do accounts receivable services improve cash flow?

Faster collections mean more cash on hand without more sales. We invoice promptly, track who owes what, follow up on overdue balances, and report AR aging so you can see slow payers early. Those collection patterns also make your cash flow forecast more accurate.

Do you set up payroll and HR?

Yes. We partner with two payroll and HR providers and recommend the one that fits your location and complexity. We handle the account setup with you, then maintain your payroll processing going forward, so payroll stays tied to your books, labor costs, and cash flow forecast.

Can you handle multi-state sales tax?

For businesses that collect sales tax in a single state, we set up the account and maintain the filing schedule ourselves. If you need to collect in multiple states, we work alongside your chosen sales tax provider, such as Avalara or TaxJar, to make sure your books, collections, and filings stay compliant.

How much do add-on services cost?

Add-on services are scoped and quoted after your free consultation, based on transaction volume, number of accounts and employees, and the condition of your books.
